Wonderful news

I had another scan yesterday and we were delighted to find out that the Subchorionic bleed (blood clot) was nowhere to be found!  The sonographer searched high and low and even went back to past scan results to try and figure out where it was, and still could not see it.  Often this happens by about the 20th week, but if not they tend to often persist.  But not mine.  I am 24 weeks and the clot has gone.  Praise God!!

So guess what I did when I got home? - I vacuumed my house for the first time in 10 weeks and I actually enjoyed it (even if I was huffing and puffing like an old woman by the time I was done - yes, I am now rather unfit!)

And today, I took a short walk (rather like a stroll or a "crawl").  That, though once again rendering me rather puffed out, just felt so good.  I took the dog along and the poor thing just couldn't get over how slow I was (he is used to jogging with Andrew, and will need some retraining how to walk in time with me without pulling on the lead).

Yes, although I haven't seen my doctor yet, my research (okay, google - how else do you do research nowadays?) suggests that with the clot gone I should be able to resume normal activities (well, as normal as is possible for a pregnant woman who is large enough that she often gets asked, "how long do you have to go?" as though the day must be imminent - only to get the "you've-got-to-be-kidding-me-look" when she tells them that she has over 3 months to go!!)

So, I am enjoying the small pleasures in life, feeling as though a ginormous weight has been lifted off my shoulders.  What a blessing!!
