Facial Expressions...

Lucas is the king of facial expressions, and his sisters love to capture them on camera:

Doing something funny with his eyes

                                                                       The Cheeky Grin

Oh dear...Ashlyn fell off her roller blades...This is his way of showing some sympathy - he hates it when others cry and always decided to join them!

                                                                             hmmm...

                                                                   ...The dribble face

Help me -I want to come off!!

                                                                      What's up there?

Always up and about, but refusing to walk...

                                                                             haha :)

Am I allowed to touch this?

The dog's food bowl-something Lucas loves (quite enjoying the contents of the bowl for an occasional snack, too)

                                                              What a gorgeous boy!

Well, that's it from here this time...

Back again

When was the long weekend?  Yeah, I know, a whole weekend ago but we did head to Emu Point on Monday and the girls did dutifully take some photos.  Have I said before that I am so glad I have older girls now who take photos?  Well I am, for without them I think our lives would pass by with little photographic record of what has been.

Well, we headed off to Emu Point at about morning tea time. Andrew and Kirilee, went knee boarding (with an obliging brother-in-law), some of us swam while...

Lucas was content to dribble hot chocolate down his bib...

...and to stuff his face with chips...

...but being the conscientious mother that I am, I did feed him some yogurt for lunch to counteract the bad food...

...and his sister ensured he got some exercise.  He has finally mastered the art of standing on his own, and when in the mood will take one or two steps...but he is far from walking and is much more content to just crawl...

Shiana, on the other hand, rested up most of the day, after damaging some soft tissue (is that a fancy way of saying "sprained"?) in her foot.  She can't put any weight on her foot and it is rather swollen, but an x-ray revealed no breaks, thankfully...

That's all.  Update done. Back into the kitchen for me :)

Just some photos...

These photos have been sitting as part of a draft blog post for almost a week, after being put there by my eagerly pleading "please-can-you-blog-Mum"  daughter.  They were all taken last Saturday!

Shiana has managed to learn how to do these hand-stand flips...

While Kirilee hasn't yet mastered the art....

...but it's fun just trying anyway...

..and she does love playing around on these bars...

...even if she ends up with blisters like this...

Andrew generally spends time in the gardens on Saturdays, and also doing some readings and other work, but there is always some time for interludes for things like "cafes" with Ashlyn and Lucas as aspiring cooks, though Lucas is usually more concerned with tasting the "sand cakes" than serving them...

The dog also gets some extra attention on Saturdays...

Saturday can mean going for a jog around our property - Sports Day is coming up, you know!

Saturdays also mean lots of extra cuddles for Lucas...

...and Saturdays always mean that by the end of the day we all have dirty feet...

Dirty feet = good Saturday!
